WELCOME FROM OUR HEADTEACHER
Mrs K DiMambro
Welcome to our school. My name is Kathryn DiMambro and I am very proud to be the Head Teacher of Star of the Sea Primary School. Star of the Sea Primary school is a place where all members of our school family play an important role in shaping our future and ensuring all can reach their potential, living out their faith.
Star of the Sea has a very special place in my heart and I have been part of this school community for many years. I do everything in my power to make this school the best school it can be.
We are part of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust, alongside 38 other primary and high schools.

MISSION STATEMENT
LEARN | LOVE | THRIVE
Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.
"Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School is dedicated to the education, growth and development of the whole child based on the partnership of pupils, staff, parents, governors and parishes. The school affirms Gospel values through Christian Catholic teaching, prayer, liturgy and worship"

VISION & VALUES
My vision is for all children to enjoy 7 happy years here, or 8, if attending our Nursery. I want Star of the Sea to be a place where every individual can flourish and grow, both academically, socially and personally. I hope to help create fantastic global citizens for the future: citizens who take pride in their own communities and throughout the world. I want all our pupils to have the opportunities to partake in a range of experiences which will help them learn, be curious and become lifelong learners. I would like our school to offer a creative and inspiring curriculum and it to have been a time where children look back with fondness, knowing they have had excellent education, ones which have helped them shine.
Star of the Sea is a place where we actively encourage inclusion and diversity. The teachings of the Catholic Church underpins all we do in school. We try to lives our lives based on the teachings of the Gospels and of Jesus. ‘Love one another as I have loved you' runs through all we do in school.
